A Brief History of Our Restaurant
The story of Buddy's Italian Restaurant begins in 1961, making it one of Pocatello's oldest eateries. Bill Guido and Buddy Face opened the restaurant together, and later Guido bought out Face. For years Julie piper was a dedicated employee of the restaurant and eventually acquired the business.
In 1970, Steve Piper began managing our restaurant, where he has worked ever since. He became an owner in 1986, when his mother passed, leaving the restaurant to Steve and his sisters.
In 2011, Buddy's Italian Restaurant celebrated 50 years of business in Pocatello and is thankful to all of their loyal customers. Many of these family customers have supported the restaurant through generations of their own. As witnessed by Steve Piper, " It's nice to see families come in and see their kids grow up, and see those kids bring their children in" Recently, we added a few menu items to accommodate requests. Lasagna and fettuccine can now be found on our menu.
